Top Hat Apparel | The Process

Thank you so very much for your interest in our specialized made-to-measure custom bra and corset service. As owner of Top Hat Fine Apparel and tophatbras, I am always so excited and pleased to work with each of my clients, as together we produce each person’s very own custom foundation garment, a garment that gives the very best fit that we can produce.

I strive to construct for you a comfortable, supportive bra or corset, using the highest quality materials currently available on the market.

When you decide to have a made-to-measure custom bra or corset made for you, we will work together over the course of approximately three appointments to complete your garment. And, as a professional, I will supply the fabric and all of the findings necessary.

During the initial appointment, also referred to as a consultation, we will chat and get to know each other, allowing us to discuss your specific needs and expectations. This is the time when I will take the measurements that will enable me to draft your own unique bra or corset pattern. This appointment will take up to an hour or a bit longer.

For the second appointment, I will have a ‘draft’ garment made from your pattern that you can try on for a fitting. It is common for there to be minor changes that will need to be made to this draft, as it is very much like a muslin that a dressmaker would produce prior to sewing a finished garment. This second appointment lasts only a matter of ten or fifteen minutes.

By the third appointment, we strive to have your custom bra or corset completed, giving you the best fit that we can produce.

My vision is to remain dedicated to the health, well-being and support of a woman’s breasts throughout her lifetime and through all of her daily life activities, with the realization that a well-fitted and supportive foundation garment can help boost a woman’s self-esteem by improving the image she portrays. My goal is to deliver this custom service to all of my clients with compassion and understanding.
